This is a variety of pictures from my trip in September, right on the edge of Winter.

1. That moose was seen from the freeway, the closest I ever got to one of them.
2, 3. The moss shows just how there is no ground there.
4. The Alaska Pipeline, as seen from Fairbanks.
5, 6. Circle, Alaska and the Yukon River.
7. The pipeline from midway between Fairbanks and Valdez.
8, 9, 10. The Denali Highway. It is very easy to drive and it was amazing.
11. The lodge along the Denali Highway.
