Lost Arrow 2009

My first ascent of Lost Arrow was many years ago, so time for another go at it. With me was Steve Schneider, climbing guide extraordinaire. We hiked up the Yosemite Falls trail, set up above the Arrow, rappel to the notch, climb it, and tyrolean across. Not so difficult, but scary as all hell because of the exposure. After a while you get used to seeing 3,000 feet of air under your feet. On the approach hike the day before, when I was stashing water, this bear appeared. He seems to be a regular on the trail.
